    New boa addition. Advice/help please
I'll try to make this somewhat short. Repticon in Denver we adopted this girl from a rescue/herp society. She was $20. I've owned boas before & really wanted another. She is skinny they only had her for a few weeks & they are pretty crowded with animals themselves. I happily took her. They didnt know what her temperament was but I carried her around the expo all day. Mostly since I didn't have a warm place for her. Kids pet her, she was calm, & anyone could touch her head. She is a sweetheart!! Was told she was an argentine. Can anyone tell? She has some bumps and bites but should be up to health in a few months! Sorry these are pics from during the expo...

Whew she's skinny, poor thing. I sure see Argie influence but I don't want to say she's full Argentine. When she fattens up and gets up to health I bet her colors will change on you.

Yes she is very skinny. Her personality is amazing though giving her condition. She stayed at my friends last night and tonight in a quarantine tub since I stayed in the city all weekend. He's going to try to give her a rat tonight. I love her darks colors either way :) she will probably just be the only boa I own for a long time.

Sorry I think I put this in the wrong part of the forum. Should be in general boas I think.

I agree with Daybreaker - I see Argentine influence, but not full Argentine. She is a super nice looking snake and will look even better once she's had some TLC. Argentines have a somewhat "bad rap" reputation, and occassionally they live up to it, but I know my two are two of the nicest snakes you'd ever meet. Looks like you found a good one! Congrats! :gj:

I have no input on her lineage as I'm still unfamiliar with a lot of sub-species of boas but congrats on the pick up and hope she thrives for you and gains her full glory quickly!

I'm not good with lineage either, but I'm glad you adopted her, and looking forward to seeing her getting back to a normal weight (assuming you'll keep us updated).

Thanks everyone for your replys. I have a pic I will post in a few minutes to show how skinny she is. I'm going to try and give her a rat tonight. I gave her a nice soak last night. I will keep this thread updated with pics :)
