1997
We set the clutch record of 44 fertile eggs for Python breitensteini..:D.. Here we are in 2013, 16 years later and it still stands..:O At that time though all you could do was hop on the land line phone and call all those concerned.. Well VPI aka Dave & Tracy Barker have a long awaited book in the works and are calling for data on the 3 species.. Needless to say we're crossing our T's and dotting our i's.. This here is Bebe she is a 2005 and weighs in at 33 pounds and roughly 74 inches.. Sweet as a snake can be which should be depicted by our young keeper here..Bebe should come close to the 40 egg mark and of course we're hoping she steps over that by a few more..You may notice remnants of the ovulation in her tail end..
Eggs expected the end of April..

I have to ask....
Why should one of one's top goals be mass production? I would think that the top goal would be to focus in on things like specific desired traits and characteristics of the animals to improve/outproduce on prior stock. If anything, I personally wouldn't WANT an enormous clutch. As a result of large clutches, I often see sellers end up resorting to wholesale in efforts to be rid of excessive "product." I just don't understand what exactley such a high egg count in our species achieves? Now if our snakes were like Ball Pythons, with their clutch odds....I could maybe get the concept...but they are not.
No ill intent here, I'm just bringing up a genuine inquiry.

Mass production ? Out of bedroom maybe if I was keeping spiders LOL.. Females are bred every OTHER year unlike others..Focus, you've looked at my webpage and know that word is there.. Traits and characters, you know my history GOT it covered :D, Improve / outproduce, ITS HAPPENING..:P, wouldn't want an enormous clutch, to my knowledge you've never produced a clutch..:O The vast majority of our MASSIVE bedroom produce finds happy homes with some living not too far from you..:) "Don't understand", Ya'll own and operate a blood and short tail forum and claim to thirst for knowledge ?? I produce knowledge each and every spring..:D But yet questions keep coming up, do you by chance have the answers I desire ?
NO ill intent Krys and Thank you for the laugh and mini's doing wonderful..

I should have figured I'd get a response of this 'quality' :D
I don't seek any knowledge from you my friend. I was simply inquiring why one of your top goals was to have such large clutches.
Oh, and just because you've not seen me plaster pics all over the net, doesn't nessecarily mean I've yet to produce a clutch ;-) *Which was irrelevent to my question anyhow*
Oh and yes, the forum is doing amazing :D Lots of enthusiastic and dedicated folks there.
Likely the most active Blood & Short Tail forum there is.

So there was no disappointment..:gj
2 previous posts with sweet one of a kind snakes and a cute kid who will grow up with knowledge.. You choose to pick on my program.. My clutch record was just broken by another individual with 45 eggs and 3 slugs from a curtus..FYI..There's those that ask questions and there's those who bring forth the answers.. Others maybe happy riding coat tails, I'd rather blaze my own path..:D Keep your eye open we have some really killer projects and animals expected..Ya'll's forum, FABULOUS, but it doesn't contain this brain matter as you well know..
