Normal to have a little blood on a clean shed? Pictures given.

It's not normal for them to bleed. Do you feed your snake live? Maybe a mouse/rat bit him and he shed the scab and he started to billed if not the. I'm not sure what to say.

I have never seen that before...I'm really not sure what would cause that besides an open wound, or something to do with the vent. Did you check the snake? I'm not an expert but I would say not normal. But wait for other people to chime in

I dont feed it live food and i checked it over and it is completely fine, but still unsettling of coarse.. :/

I've only had one snake ever bleed and that was his skin getting ripped. I would change his bedding to paper towels to see if it's an ongoing issue
throughly inspect the body head and vent. Any redness in the vent area?
while ya have him out might as well sterilize the tank/tub.
Blood is not normal in a shed by any means. It's most likely a scab that pulled off. When they shed their scabs shed also and they regrow the scab.

Okay I will change to paper towels. I use cypress right now and it was a clean shed, so i thought that meant temps and everything are appropriate? I checked everything though and she looked clean as a whistle. The blood mark is by the neck though. I was thinking maybe blood from a meal got on it and then it came off when she shed. The blood is on the outside of the shed though, so it doesnt look like it was a scab. I usually get the hopper warm enough to where its bleeding a little out of its nose and maybe that got on her? But doesnt really make sense to me still..

And I just cleaned the tub yesterday.

What is your humidity at? Maybe give him/her and the cage, a water spray down once or twice a day. Or just during she'd.

One of my ball python will occasionally shed with a little blood on his vent. I think she pulled too hard. And last shed she actually poop inside her shed..... she is other wise fine and i have been told vent can get a little bloody during shed when they are too rough with themselves

Honestly, don't let people worry you.

That is a small amount of blood, and you looked him over and he appears fine. He is fine. The fact that it's a full shed suggests it has nothing to do with humidity, and really, get rid of the cypress? What exactly is that going to achieve?

I wouldn't worry about it. I have had small amounts of blood on my snake sheds, like mentioned, it was from near the vent.

This is incorrect, it is NOT abnormal for there to be a little bit of blood from the vent during a shed. Happens every now and then do a couple of my snakes, I would not worry at all. With the small amount of blood in the pictures there is absolutely nothing to worry about. You could try raising the humidity next time she sheds, but I dont think that will matter.
