Soon to be home to a boa.

Just a quick update for anybody who cares. I got my Proline cage all set up and just need my T-Stat and a few items like substrate, hides and such, but here is the "home" after completion. I have a Pro-Products RHP mounted up top, and an LED strip light with dimmer inside for light. The perch holders are part of my cage deal.

The cage is very nice. Excellent plastic, easy to assemble and well,,, here it is.

Well, it was between Pro Line and Animal Plastics. Both were great with customer service. I think when it came down to size and price with shipping the Proline was the best value for me. The plastic is excellent IMO. I went with a 48" x 24" x 14" That was the perfect size for me.

I also spoke to Ed by phone several times and he literally answered my E-mails in 15 minutes. I was not really wanting to self assemble a cage, but his video made it look very easy and it was.

The AP's are equally beautiful and I've heard nothing but good things about them and Aaron, AKA Serpent Merchant swears by them so I was on the fence. His advice has helped me from day 1.

The price and turnaround time, plus Ed being a great guy with what I think is a great product did the trick. I also have to keep this as inexpensive as I can because my wife really did not want another snake in the house.

Things add up fast when the cage combined with a Herpstat start showing up on the credit card at the same time LOL!

I've been chatting with Ed myself about getting a 5-stack. He's been terrific and has even helped me with the flexwatt despite the fact that he doesn't sell heat himself anymore. He's very knowledgable and his cages are excellent quality. I have to wait a little longer than I'd thought before ordering my 5-stack because my dear hubby dropped the transmission in his car a couple of days ago. But once we can swing it, I'll definitely be ordering my cages from Ed.

Getting there (excited). I am trying to dial in the RHP. I think it need t run a bit to get my temps where I want them. I still need my T-stat. Depending on where these temps pan out it may be a Herpstat 1 or 2. Mounting the light and heat panel was pretty easy. I have the cage moved to where it will actually be know. I plan to paint the room and arrange things just right before I get the snake.

Its been nice to plan this out and go slow. I will be totally set before I even make the arrangements for shipping the little critter.

Ed is top notch. I only ordered 1 cage, and he's treated me like I ordered 100 of them. I'm just a small fry, non-breeder, who wants a neat pet and Ed treats me like I'm a big time boa guy when it comes to service. I'm very happy with his business style.

Home Depot LED with dimmer. Its not cheap. $49. there are less expensive lights but I was already taking back a fluorescent light and was irritated so I just bought it. I can't remember the name but can find it for you if you want. It's paper thin and has 2 settings. East top cage mount with no penetration through the enclosure.
