Any tricks?

So my ball python is almost 2 years old. She is at 730g she hasn't eaten for about 2 months now. She hasn't lost any weight so I know not to be worried , but it still concerns me. I was wondering If anyone had any tricks to entice her to eat? Her temps are good. Humidity good. The only thing that changed is that I unplugged her heat pad cause she got a burn( gone now) and she hasn't eaten since. She was eating live, then randomly switched to ore killed. I have tried both and she doesn't seem interested. Any input would be much appreciated.

If you unplugged her heat pad, what is her source of heat now that it's gone? I just got a group of ball pythons that have been off feed for several months due to not having a heat source. If she has no heat then that might be the reason she's not eating. Although, I'm sure someone who has more experience will chime in. You'll need some kind of thermostat to control the heat pad to keep her from getting burns though.

Agreed with the post above. 730 grams seems a little small for a 2 year old ball pythons aswell I have a male who is 400 grams and is 8 months old.

Her heat source is heat lamps. And that's my problem is I don't have a thermostat. I would agree I think she should be heavier she gains fast when she is actually eating

Easy, get a thermostat and give her the belly heat back :gj:

this I've taken in rescues that "refuse" to eat put them in my rack with proper heat and they eat with in a week

Well thank you for the responses. I will get a thermostat and get the pad going again

A snake is cold blooded, they need sufficient heat to digest their food.

Also and maybe her burns could be infected, even if just a little bit, cold cause her to go off feeding.

Her burns went completely away when she shed. I think she is healthy:)
