Is burning of belly a big deal?

Over these couple weeks i've noticed my BP's belly has been getting more red, at first i thought it was shed, but shed process couldn't possibly take this long. I've noticed this since about 3 weeks ago. Her belly went from pink and now to more light red... i'm thinking she's been burnt? i don't see how because the hot spot is not hot enough to burn her, (92 max) and she never digs under to the glass. And if she's been burnt, does it heal? or is it permanent? :(

The hot spot on top of the bedding is 92 max or the hot spot against the glass on the very bottom of the tank is 92 max.
What are you reading temps with?
Of course it's bad if the snake is getting burned, take some pics and show them so we can determine if it is a burn or not.
With what are you reading your temperatures?

hot spot top of the bedding is 92 max. i don't worry about the glass because she doesn't burrow. i read my temps with a thermometer with a probe. i just took her out so ill post some tomorrow. does the burns heal?

They will heal, but they may blister if they aren't kept in a clean environment. Pics!

It does not matter if your snake burrows or not. Its a good practice to not let any spot in the cage get to hot. I would place your probe on the glass and see what temps you get. Then adjust the temp so the glass is at the correct temp and use a super thin layer of substrate.

Burns can turn very nasty and cause you alot of time and money trying to get it healed. You need to get this figured out before it has a chance to do real harm. Especially if it is the start of a burn.

Is it a big deal? Seriously? Go grab a pan out of the oven and let us know if it feels like a big deal. Just because a burnt snake can't tell you it's in pain doesn't make a burn less damaging. There should never be a place inside your enclosure that can injure your snake.

This, no spot hotter than 95 anywhere in the enclosure.
Lower the amount of bedding and get the temperature under the bedding at 95 and then the snake will be safe.

If you're certain there's no area above 95 in the enclosure, including underneath the substrate, then it's not a burn. Try to get a good picture of it for us.

Also, what kind of substrate are you using?

as you describe it, it could be a burn or the onset of a burn, or it could also be a belly irritation / skin infection from lying on wet substrate for too long.

im using eco earth substrate.

the redness is pretty much from her tail to head, that's why i thought it was shedding process at first
