    Feeding more often?
I live on a small island, and the pet stores dont sell any sizable mice or rats that will be enough for the average 1 mice/rat a week closed to the ball pythons stomach size, because my island doesnt sell any snakes other then corn. My question is, can i just feed my ball python twice a week with smaller amounts? I am moving to somewhere else in june, where they sell more appropriate food sizes, but for a few months would it be ok?

You can try two small per feeding I have a snake who only wants two smaller meals instead of one big one. So she gets two rats every Sunday (feeding day) an she does as good as everyone else

I would just feed multiple prey per feeding if your snake will handle it. I have a normal who will not touch more than one prey item but I have a spider who's a garbage disposal and she'll eat anything.

Just try and see if your snake will eat two in once sitting. If you don't already have a kitchen scale, then purchase one and weigh your snake. If your snake is 800g or less, feed 10-20% of the body mass. An adult mouse is about 20-25g give or take a few grams. So say your snake weighs 500g. In that case, feed your snake 2 adult mice per feeding. It if doesn't work out evenly (say the snake is 300g), then feed either an adult mouse and say a hopper mouse or just feed over a longer time line (two mice every week and a half, etc).

Try that and see how it goes.
