Momma ate!!

My girl that just laid ate her first meal in MONTHS last night, super happy about that, she's about to get up to 3000 grams this year. She was around 2700 when I got her and I'm sure she will be over 3k by breeding season next year :)

Also I meant to ask, I started by feeding her small rats, when should I bump her up to medium (as big as I feed balls) and how often should I feed till she gets her weight starts coming back? (5-7 days?)

Not a BP but.. My huge Carpet has ate 2 weeks in a row now :)
First meal was a small then 2 smalls this week. Haven't really read any info on feeding after they laid but starting off slow seemed like the right thing to do :o

I actually offer a meal anywhere from 1-3 days after they lay. Then two more meals 5 days apart and then back on a 7 day schedule.

Do you start off with a smaller meal or normal size?

I actually changed my girls bedding out and washed her tub, then put her some water in my tub and let her swim around in it for a minute to get the egg smell off of her, waited a few days, offered her a meal and she took it!!!

I generally feed Smalls but, I will start them off a little smaller for the first 3 meals.
