My first bloods! 1.1 Matrix Bloods
At the Tampa Repticon this past weekend my boyfriend and I were fawning over some ivory bloods for sale. After talking to the breeder and discussing it with my boyfriend, we decided to get a pair of Matrix bloods to make our own ivories in the future!

    Here is the boy

Here is the girl! This is a feisty one! Which is why she got her pictures taken in the tub and not lose in the light tent.

Thanks! They are both eating rat pups and the male just shed. Only thing is, now the male seems to be aggressive too! As soon as I open their tubs both are ready to strike! I'll admit, it does scare me lol

They both have hides and plenty of balled up newspaper to add some clutter. Why do these chubby little snakes scare me so much! Lol

LOL I know what you mean. It takes time sometimes, but be patient and persistent, and try to handle them for a minute or two at least once a day once they are settled in. Just remember, if you don't start handling them for short spells while they're this age, they won't get any tamer as they grow!

That's really good that you have them an adequate hide and the balled up newspaper is a good deal too.

Alright I will try handling them more often... Even though I'm a giant wimp! Lol

Just remember....here's some motivation...imagine them at five feet long, acting the same way or worse!!! :O

Better to get in there and maybe take a nip or two within the 'taming' process than not handle them at all and have them get worse as they get larger. That's what I had to tell myself!
