marla, i know i thanked you alot before, but i have to do it one more time. the coconut fiber has helped raise my humidity. besides me checking on him at 4am and finding snake poop in it, and having to clean everything out, things are goin great. just had to thank you one more time marla, keep coming up with the great ideas!!

Cocnut fiber? How does that raise humidity?

It holds moisture very well, which allows it to slowly and consistently evaporate into the air...which raises the overall humidity. The thing Rex is talking about is a fiber-shell that is used to line plant-pots. You can turn those upside down, cut a hole in them, and make a favorite hide for your snake.

Damien...that would be Randy. LOL But I fail to see how this is relevant to the topic at hand. Unless poop raises humidity in a way I haven't heard of?

EDIT -- Nevermind Damien...I've re-read and see the relevance. I was trying to be a smart-a$$, but ended up outsmarting myself instead.

Marla, where's your post with the picture and description of the coconut hide? I can't seem to find it. I was trying to remember what it looked like the other day while I was out and drew a blank.

They do come in different sizes and even a few different shapes as well. I think I may put one at the other end too, and just not put it on a bowl.
