    Sneezing mouse?
So I brought home a live feeder mouse from the pet store. I haven't done too many live feedings as I have my first live feeder. I noticed the mouse is sneezing, and I haven't noticed that before with any of the 5 or so mice i have brought home.
Can I still feed my snake the mouse?

I wouldn't. And chances are the snake won't bother with it if it's sick anyway.

You can feed it. There is no risk to your snake.
It just sounds like a minor RI, which many rodents have anyway.

    And the snake won't care.

I bet to differ, any predators in the wild are conditions to go for the weakest animal, ie the one that is easiest to catch which is often the one with defect or is ill. It is the whole principle behind darwinism and evolution.

So I believe if your snake isn't off food for other reason it would have no problem taking a sick mouse.

Also There is a very slim chance that whatever your mouse have would transfer over to the snack, very few disease and virus have evolve to be trans species. Parasite on the other hand have evolve to hide out in their primary target's prey, i would be more worry about parasite than anything else.

This is why I love this place....super quick responses.
Now I don't know much about parasites, but this mouse looks fairly healthy...at a good weight and such...the only thing I noticed was the sneezing.
Thanks again for the quick replies!
