    Cleaning and disinfecting driftwood
My roommate and I have two rainbow boas, a ball python and a spider ball python. We recently went out on the boat and found some cool driftwood pieces that we want to use to make some cool climb/hides. We researched how to clean and disinfect them and found that many people put the pieces in hot water in bathtub for several days and the bake it. Our problem with this is how fast bathtub water cools down. We took an old drink cooler and put the pieces in and then filled it with boiling water from the stovetop. Figured we would share this method because the water stays hot and even extremely warm after 16+ hours. We have changed the water three times now and plan on baking it tomorrow in the oven. Just thought I would share for anybody interested in DIY stuff. :)
