Moving a gravid female and all my other snakes!
Today is moving day for me! Yay!
So, my question to all of you experienced in moving snakes, what are your procedures? Specifically, do you do anything special for gravid females?
I have all my insulated boxes, snake bags, and deli cups ready to go. I'm going to make sure the car is nice and toasty before I put them in, then drive straight to my new place. They might have to sit in the boxes for 4-5 hours while I rewire all the heating/thermostats and put together my freedom breeder.
I'm planning on taking a bunch of pictures during the move to document it, then pictures of the new reptile room!

Make alex do all the work and just take pics of everything!!! :D

No suggestions, but good luck. That sounds like a pain in the rear.

The only thing I could think of would be to have the gravid female by herself, and secure. Seat buckle her box in so she won't be moving around much during the trip.

I think I'm going to have someone hold onto her box in the passenger seat.

yeah, its going to be quite the endeavor! But thankfully, we are only moving about 8 miles away :) so it should be nice and quick!

LMAO! At first I thought it read, "Buckle her seatbelt in the car". THAT would be a picture!
Good luck!

Moving the snakes went smoothly. For the most part.. I forgot to tape shut my hatchling rack and I thought I lost a snake in my car!! Thankfully he was just in a neighboring tub. Almost gave me a heart attack!!!
