    That everyone uses? Has probe for hot spot and does ambient temps and humidity..

    Acu-Rite brand costs $12 measures 2 temperatures and humidity. They are usually by the light bulbs.

    I use the probe for my hot spot and the unit for the cool. Works fine.

    Side note: How do soooo many people not know the different between a thermostat and a thermometer?
    Customers at PetSmart ask me for "thermostats" every week. It's got to the point where my first response is, "what are you using it for . . .?"

    I know the difference, I was just dealing with my thermostat (hence the thermometer question) at the time.

    The Acu-Rite we all know and love can also be ordered online from WalMart if your local doesn't have them (not every store does). We have 3 super walmarts and only one had the acu-rite section. The first image is an old one, but you'll see the new version (as show above) further down on the page:

    I've found them in Lowes over by their Lawn and Garden section. Home Depot most likely would carry them or something like them as well.
