Average live rat prices in your local area

What are you paying in your perspective area for a small live rat? I have to pay 5.00 at the pet store unless I hook up with my local breeder for 1.75 per small which is a big difference! What are some of the average prices in your local area (Not online bulk prices)

$1.50-2.00 each

The best prices here were from lll reptiles but they recently bumped up their prices... I think it's like $3.50 for a medium and $5 for a large or something like that.

But they NEVER have ether enough or the right size so I recently just started breeding myself and haven't had to spend $40 a week there for a couple months. It's really nice haha

The closest pet shop to me charges $3 for smalls. I used to go to LLL, but they haven't been getting in their frozen shipments, and the drive isn't worth paying $4 for smalls. I can't remember the prices for any other sizes.

I used to go to LLL also but the store closer to me is a little cheaper (3-3.50 for smalls)... I've been wanting to breed my own rats for a while but will have to wait til I get my own house... I wish I could go straight to a breeder but I don't know any in my area.

$7 for all live rats. Even more if they only have dumbos. God help me and my growing short tail.

some of you guys's prices makes me jealous. And i wish there are good exotic pets store around my are like LLL. There are no live feeders for sale within a good 20km around me, if i have to buy feeder and too lazy to don't have a reason to drive further out it will be frozen at $6.5 or for a small. I go to school in another district 20km or so away from my house and there is a mom a pop pet shop that sell live, one of the 2 or 3 store in the whole GVRD area that does live:( but they only charge 3.75$ per small rat dead or alive.

While i don't mind to drive but it sucks when I don't have school near that area and i have to spent a few buck of gas + 20 mins of my time just to pick up 2 rats.

Anybody that live in GVRD here please let me know if there are any other store that sell live besides Roger's aquatic in surrey.

We buy small/medium rats for $1 to $1.75

Smalls are $5 at the pet store. I wish i could breed my own!

Same here at pet stores, we buy from several smaller breeders locally, and also have the phone number to the local wholesaler that supplies some of the pet stores in the area.
Pet store prices would kill me having 40+ snakes to feed :O
