    Switching cages?
I have a question about switching cages. I purchased my ball python a month ago and currently have him in a 20g long aquarium. I just ordered a 36" inch cage from NPI cages: http://www.npicages.com/36_rack.html

I was wondering if it would be too much stress on the snake to switch cages since he is only been in the current one for a month. Any advice?

    Thanks!

How large is your snake? Does its size require you to move it to a larger tank immediately? IMO, it may stress him out, but setting it up somewhat similar to his previous enclosure should minimize that. Plus he/she should have no problem adjusting given time.

    Re: Switching cages?
Thanks for your reply. He is about 3ft long now. I would say his size doesn't require the switch. I was thinking about switching since it was a better cage and should be easier to keep heat in.

I believe you'll be just fine switching him over. Just may need to give him some time to settle in to his new (again) surroundings.
