I made a post a couple of weeks ago regarding a friend, who has a bp, and his setup left a little to be desired; I was trying to give him advice w/o insulting/offending.

Last week I was at the beach, and my roommate here was going to be out of town too. Well, this friend I had was the only person I really felt was cool with watching Amber for the week. I took Amber and her setup over to there place the night before I left.

I came back to pick her up last night, and they had changed the entire setup for their adult bp. It was more or less an exact copy of what I brought Amber in. I guess after having Amber for a week and seeing what I was doing, they realized they might have been falling somewhat short. Only thing they have left to do is put her in a larger enclosure (Monty, their bp, is about 3 ft long and is in a 20gal Long !!) which they are getting early this week.

    Problem solved!

Now all I have to do is convince them that monty can be taking small rats now. Right now they feed 2 live adult mice. The snakes girth is such that 4 adult mice wouldn't even make a bump. The food issue isn't as immediate as the husbandry issues were, but I'd still like to see monty switched over.

That's great news! I'm sure they wouldn't mind hearing your advice on switching to rats. If they changed their whole set up to match yours, seems like they would value your opinion/expertise.

That is so cool! It is so hard to tell some one when they are making mistakes with their children.

I agree with Marla - example is best. Congrats on an uncomfortable situation turned great! :) Glad your snake is back in your hands and safe as well.
