I love my snakes but this is my girl here...
For as much as I love my snakes, my favorite reptilian pet would have to be my dragon, Wyrwrenth. She's almost 12 this year and still feisty as ever. Picked her up at a St. Louis reptile show in 2001 because I was looking at another one and she jumped up, bit the breeder, and wouldn't let go. She was just a hatchling at the time but having cats, I wanted a dragon that wouldn't hesitate to defend herself so I took her even though she was dirt brown (she shed a week after I got her and turned out to be a nice orange/red) and a little on the skinny side. Got her home, switched her to pelleted food (I realize some people disagree with this but it works great for Wyrwrenth) and ever since then, she's run the house. Her first enclosure was a 10 gallon aquarium but as soon as I moved into my own place, she had run of the house. The cats quickly learned not to upset the dragon along with the dogs who make a wide circle around her still. She isn't aggressive but she will flare up and snap back if they try to play with her. Now that she's older, I don't let her roam the house 24/7 anymore. I worry that she will get stuck someplace though she hasn't really lost any muscle tone or reaction time. Maybe it's just me worrying but now she has a 40 gallon breeder tank for when she's not out. Even at her age, she'll still happily run down crickets in her cage or put a new foster cat in its place when it tries to use her basking lamp as a warm spot to lay. Here a few pics just to show off her entertaining personality.

Taking lightbox pics doesn't work with her. She tries to eat the camera... every time...

In the evenings, if she wanted to be by me, she'd use the router as a heat source instead of her heat lamp.

She would run the dogs off every so often to steal their food. Just depended on her mood.

Is someone a Dragonriders of Pern reader? I believe this is the name of one of the female dragons in that series.

Very much so. Back then, I was reading everything that came my way that had Pern on in. :)
Also had a yellow male named Golanth but unfortunately, he saw a firefly before I did. Pretty sure any dragons I get will probably have names from the series.

And thank you for the comments on the pics. The tongue pic was pure luck!

I love that third pic, too cute. I have one who is 6 and still as cocky as he was since he was a hatchling. I love Tony (: Not NEAR as stunning as yours though!
