    Adding a second male late
I have been breeding several females to one proven male for several months now and witnessed several locks with all females. Most of them are in the building/glowing phase but no ovulations yet.

I have a young male that I wasnt planning on being ready until next year that just started producing plugs. He is a higher end male that I would like to get breeding.

Question is, if I am able to get this new male to start locking up now, after another male has been breeding these females for months, what are the chances of the new male fertilizing the eggs over the male that has been breeding them? There have been no ovulations as of yet.

I haven't tried pairing this new male yet so chances are he still isnt ready, but just curious.

It is very possible that he could father some of the offspring. All depends whose sperm makes it to the eggs first.

    No harm in trying.
