Update on my pieds from last year.

So, tonight was feeding night, so what better excuse to break out the camera for new pictures of some of my favorite babies. Many of you will remember the difficulties I had with my first pied clutch, here is a link for those not familiar with it, but be warned the pictures are very graphic: http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...33#post1911633

So it occurred to me, most of you have no idea what happened afterwards. Well; Tiny the pitiful little boy I had to cut from his twisted umbilical, isn't so tiny anymore! He took days to shed his egg skin, and I had to peel the poor thing out of it, it was so heavy and thick and he was so weak. He ate like a little trooper though. His second shed I also had to help him with, after that he took over. Now he eats like a horse and is getting bigger by the day. This is him in all his attitude cuteness:

He was not happy with mama showing off his " het pied markers" He's got some pretty solid train tracks, doesn't he?:

Also from that clutch, the het pied female. This Beauty hatched out at 78 grams of awesome, and she just keeps getting better! She ate from the get-go, and she never misses a meal. She is one chunky little lady! This is her and her tail stripe thing, just like her brother:

She was even less thrilled with mommy showing of her "het pied markers". She's only got one little train track, but it's there:

And of course, the star of the clutch. The handsome nearly perfect 50/50 pied. A boy of course, but he's still here to stay. He represents 15 years of dreams and 4 long years of hopes fulfilled.

And because I don't want her to feel left out, the only remaining pied I have from two clutches and the only female pied I got last year, I'm really surprised she's still here:

Funny thing was, all four pied babies, including the one I lost, had the white tail tip. I thinks it's pretty awesome myself.

They all look great! Those het pieds have a really cool look to them.

I really love these guys!

I found it interesting that all four visual pieds had the white tail tip, and all five of the het pieds had the tail stripe. They came from two different mom's, both of which are het pied. But they had the same daddy, my little low white pied male. Neither of the females has a tail stripe, and daddy doesn't have one to speak of either. It's funny how the genes can combine sometimes.

Awesome! I remember reading your thread with a very heavy heart. Must have been tough. All your snakes look amazing! I love the TRI coloured female! I'm picking up a pied male tomorrow and this thread got me even more amped up! Thanks and awesome!

They look so great! I just love the colors on your Pied boy... he is super handsome.
