.
got up at 5am this morning, and decided to check on rex. went upstairs and lifted his hide a little bit and he wasnt in there. he switched to the warm side. but there was something in the cool hide. snake skin! so i took it out, and it was all bunched up, like last time. i untangled it carefully, checked it over, and sure enough, another PERFECT shed! i must of gotten to it pretty quickly, it was moist. he even left me some poop to clean up. since yesterday was his day to eat, and he didnt cause of the shed, ill be feeding him tonight. he loves these weaned rats. i measured the skin for an estimate on how long he is and hes around 20in, probly longer. marla, ill let you know if rex likes that hide, as soon as i can find it. i went to a couple stores trying to find it and none of them had it. one store had a huge one, but it was to big.

Sounds like you're doing an excellent job with him! Congrats! :D

Sounds like a good day all around. :) Try walMart in the garden section or a local plant nursery or garden store. Most of them should have at least some sort of them. My WalMart has them an aisle or so over from pots.

Amber always tears her sheds up during and after the shedding process, but you can literally piece them together and see that it was complete. I think its got to do with having a bark substrate and lots of cage furnature that is conducive to tearing up shed skin.
