I have a new obsession with spiders
Anyway, I've been wanting to find a black widow.
I live in a very agricultural town, and they're supposedly very common here, but I have no idea where to look.

Look in any low dark covered areas. In warm weather they're very easily found under just about anything.

Anything made of wood and undisturbed for a while. Check under old logs, anything wooden in your barn. Corners too, peek in those. Anything old. This is a general rule for other spiders as well. :) Wood is nice insulation, often untouched, nice hiding for them.

Since you live in Florida, look for brown widows (google for pics). They have raggedy looking webs and the egg cases have weird spikes (like sandspurs).
