Shedding Question

So my baby girl Buddha (pastel het ghost) is going through her first shed for me since I have acquired her and I just want to throw out some questions out to all of you bc I am sure I have everything proper from a husbandry perspective but I just want to make sure......

Since noticing her beginning to start to shed I have boosted the humidity inside her enclosure to around 60-70%. Inside her "hides" i have moss to also help with keeping consistent humidity. The temps in her tank are perfect both in her hot and cool spot and the ambient temp is spot on for her.

Now I know soaking can be beneficial as well, but is this something that is really necessary?

It looks as though she will have a nice, clean shed but I just want to make sure i have all variables covered to try and aid her in the process and give her the easiest time.

Despite this being her first shed for me; yesterday was also her feeding day and despite her milky-cloudy eyes, she still took a few hoppers down for me.

She's Daddy's big girl and I love watching her grow and put on weight. Makes me a very proud papa. But anything else that might help her that has worked for all of you in the past; I would love to learn about.

Soaking can stress her out, making an otherwise good shed into a bad shed.

So just let her be and let nature takes it course?

just wait until after the shed.

soaking and stuff like that is a response if she only shed partially, or still has some shed on the head or tailtip.

wait it out, and then check the shed to see if the eyecaps are in the dead skin, if the old skin has holes where the eyes should be you may have a case of stuck eyecaps.

it really is too early to worry.

If she has a problem shed, you'll want to soak her at that point to help get the problem shed off of her, but soaking her before then can be a bit unnecessary. If you've been monitoring the cage conditions like you say then she's very unlikely to require much help beyond that. :)
