Something wrong with my BP?

I was watching my BP crawl around this evening and I noticed her mouth, on her bottom lip, is a little brown. It doesn't look scabby or like a sore, but I can't remember if it was always there or not. I'm not sure if it's just her coloration or if something is wrong, and I searched everything I could think of online with no results, so I'm coming to you guys! It might have always been there and I just didn't see, but now I'm a little paranoid. She isn't showing any other signs of sickness, she's not breathing with her mouth open, or star-gazing and there's no extra saliva, or pus or anything out of the ordinary. She's just as active as always. Just need to know if it's anything I should keep an eye on!

Little hard to notice but it's more prominent when you actually look at it.

If you're talking about right in the middle, I just pulled out my normal and he has more or less the same brown coloration in the middle. It's not quite as big but its there, so I'm guessing you're BP is alright!

Sometimes when the push against things like glass the pull the lower lip down a touch. This looks a bit different (just like the inside of your lips do..) it looks like posted this is what you are seeing.

I would suggest you keep an eye on it in case there is something more than we are seeing. If there is obvious swelling or discharge it is time for a vet.

It really looks like nothing, but do keep a eye on it. No one can diagnose from a picture perfectly.

I think I had the same question a few months after I got my first BP. To this day she still has a brownish gray lower lip. I don't think its anything to worry about.

my python has the same exact thing,i was was worried at first about mouth rot or anything but its normal..... he still eats like crazy and is active and happy
