Switching from F/T to Live rats??
So I've been trying to feed my female lately P/K or F/T and she just isn't having any of it. She's 780g right now and I'm hoping she can get up to breeding size by next season. I am thinking that for all of my snakes I wouldn't mind feeding live. I feel like it might entice the natural feeding element that they have in the wild and they will be more inclined to eat every week. She was eating regularly for me all month of January and half of Feb but now shes struggling. Just wanted to get some thoughts and opinions on whether I should switch from the F/T or P/K to live? All thoughts and opinions are welcome.
thanks in advance,
Calder
Re: Switching from F/T to Live rats??
I feed my entire collection live with no issues. I prefer it as it does stimulate the feeding response quite well and I don't have to worry if a non-feeder isn't eating because it's F/T or some other reason - it's almost always due to breeding season or a shed cycle beginning. I also have easy access to live rodents, so it's not an issue for me.
Just my two cents! :)

I have given up on f/t and have been feeding only live. Its just such a hassel thawing them out what not. I definitely feel theres a better feeding response to live with bps.

My kids eat live, and its sooo much easier for me. Plus no wasted feeders.
