Animal Plastics CB70 rack heating question
I was considering buying a CB70 rack from Animal Plastics. I want the enclosed one, not the economy one. The belly heat standard is 3" Flexwatt tape.

I would be keeping it in my bedroom, which tends to stay about 75 (73 at the very coolest) degrees. With the tubs enclosed on three sides, would the 3" tape be enough to keep the tubs over 80, or should I request a bigger size? I can understand it working for smaller tubs, but I'm uncertain about a 3" strip heating a 34x17" tub.
Thanks in advance!
Re: Animal Plastics CB70 rack heating question
I don't have any tubs yet but have been researching my options and from what I understand you should cover 30-50% of the floor space with you heat source. So I think 3" is tad small lol. Also your hot spot should be around 90, with your current room temps the 80 cool side should be achieved. I would say at least 6inch tape. But I'm no expert.

Yes, I would have it on a thermostat to keep the hotspot at 90, but I'm mostly wondering if the heat would raise the rest of the tub 3-5 degrees.
