Finally got a lock!!

This is the third time together with Ace and Kay. The first time was pretty much unsuccessful. I gave them about a week away from each other and tried again. The second time there were a couple of short lockup attempts but nothing over an hour or so. Then another week apart and today I put them together. Within an hour they locked up and have been locked for about 6 hours now. I think this one is for real. :)

Yeah pretty sure Ace is a granite. His dad has the granite speckling and has passed it to 2 out of 4 offspring so far. Here is the male in question:

And the female is a normal, but has kind of a reduced pattern and some really awesome yellow and gold undertones. She's actually the mother of Ace so I'm hoping if there's anything genetic going on I'll discover it with this clutch.

Thanks. :) He definitely got the granite speckling from his dad, so I feel fairly sure that is genetic. But yeah I think it would be really sweet if Kay is hiding something recessive and I can get it to turn up.
