Anyone ever heard of "KennelSol"? And can i use it on my snake tubs?
I have been thinking about a cheaper tub cleaner, and it never ocurred to me about trying this(we use it at work). On the label it says its a germicidal detergent for use in kennels, zoos, pet shops, grooming establishments, animal science laboratories, etc,. It lists a whole slew of bacteria and viruses its good against,(24+) and doesnt have a strong smell at all. The main ingredient is Didecyl dimethyl ammonium chloride(2.535%), second being n-alkyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride(1.69%) with the rest being inert ingredients. I wanted to know if this is safe enough to use to clean and spray down my snake tubs. If anybody has used it before, let me know what you thought.

Never heard of that one. We use 256 at work.
Look and see if it says anything about not using on bedding or bowls.
Would that be cheaper than F10 or Cholarhexidine?

Im not positive but I'm pretty sure you wanna stay away from using stuff ending in "sol". I really couldn't tell you why but I'm pretty sure I've seen kitedemon mention it and explain why before.

I'm also curious about this actually. I know that it is VERY safe for mammals, and is extremely effective at inactivating viral and bacterial contaminants. It also goes by the name "Parvosol", and we use it on just about every surface in the vet hospital where I work, between patients, and we mop the floors with it, no water rinse afterwards, and we've never had a worry about puppies eating treats off those surfaces. I know that being safe for mammals doesn't necessarily equate to safety for reptiles, but given how heavily we rely on it at work, especially after patients known to carry diseases like FeLV and Parvovirus, I'd be surprised if it didn't do an equally outstanding job for cleaning/sanitizing reptile enclosures.

Can't get much cheaper than soap and water. I've been using dawn dish soap for years and only disinfect or pull out the harder stuff when I'm switching occupants or if someone's been sick.
