    I miss holding Lego
    Hey folks
So I think my BP is about to go thru his first shed since we've had him. Here is a shot from 5 days ago:

He's been honkered down in his cool-side hide since Tuesday. I'm assuming this all means he's about to shed. Temps are good....humidity around 70%. I just miss holding him.

How 'bad' is it to hold him during this time?

Hold him whenever you want. I pull my snakes out whenever. I just make sure i move a bit slower since their vision isnt as good. Dont wanna spook them and get tagged by mistake.

I try to not bother them too much when they are in shed but I have handle them while they are all blued up. They generally dont react the same when when being held when they are in shed, but for me handling during sheding time is usually no more than 10 seconds. I really dont know what would happen if you insist on holding them for longer, I imagine they would be really stress I dont know if that will cause them to not shed though...

i heard when a snake goes blue it secreats an oil between its outer layer and new layer to seperate them. that is why they look all cloudy and you dont want to disturb them. i usally only spot clean when they are in blue.
