Sophie finally shed! My daughter called me at work to tell me that she saw something weird in Sophie's tank. She took a closer look to investigate and realized it was her shed. It was almost perfect except for the tip of her tail, but we helped her out w/that. I guess I worried for nothing. I'm so relieved and happy that it went well. I guess I'm doing something right after all. YEA!!

Congrats! First shed is a nice way to measure how well you are doing on your husbandry! Congrats on the good shed!

Good job! Always nice to get a good shed for visual confirmation of proper husbandry 8)

Yay Sophie! (You'll tell her for me, won't you? ;) ) Glad you checked the tail tip, by the way. On an otherwise complete shed, that tends to be the most likely spot for retained shed and can cause restricted blood flow to the tail, so not only is the shed a sign of good husbandry, but catching the tail issue is a sign of a good keeper as well. :)

Thanks, Damien. I've definitely learned a lot from all the great advice...(more so in fact than the books/caresheets I read before bringing her home.)
