I currently have 3 of my 5 BP's off of feed. One since mid December. There husbandry is on point so I am chalking it up to its that time of the year. But dang does it stress me out! Anyone else going through this?

About 2/3 of my adults are off feed right now. It's normal as long as you aren't referring to young BPs (under ~500g or so).

Yeah, I have just come to expect this from my adults. Sometimes they will take a meal here and there, but almost all my males will barely eat through the winter. The females eat more often, but still a little sporadic.

Don't let it worry you. As long as they aren't loosing a ton of weight quickly they will be fine.

Thanks. I have heard that males typically will go off of feed in the winter but I didn't know females did the same. The one that has been off of feed since Dec is my 700g butter male. And then I have a 680g female normal and a 800g female Mojave that have been off of feed since late Jan. I have been weighing them every other week and haven't seen a major weight change, although they have lost a little. But I guess that is to be expected.

I have a girl off feed for 5 or 6 weeks now. She is my first food strike and my only girl (of 2) who is of breeding weight and/or age. She was a perfect eater until 6 weeks ago and I wish she would just eat! So frustrating.
