Meet Nadia, our adopted "special" bee..
We got her from a friend of ours who got her from a friend of his, who was having incubation issues. From above she looks fine but her jaw is deformed. She cannot eat anything but very small prey, and when we first got her she was emaciated. I fear that her deformities will not allow her to eat larger prey as she grows, and that she may always be tiny. Shes gained weight, but still looks horribly skinny. She has a certain charm about her when she aligns her jaw back after shes done eating, cuz she sticks her tongue out the side of her mouth for awhile afterwardshttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/03/01/u2umubej.jpg. Were not sure whether or not we're going to keep her or sell her once she regains some vitality, but no matter what she should be kept as a pet.http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/03/01/ty8u5u9a.jpg

Thanks. I forget what language, but we named her Nadia because it means hope....we seriously thought she was going to die. :(

Thanks :) she is cute, but I am really looking forward to producing our own bees this year. In the event we do decide not to keep her, the person who does take her will be screened every which way to be sure they can take proper care of her. After all, she is a special needs baby. and absolutely no breeding:colbert:
