    Leopard Boas
I was wondering if any of you had information on these guys?

I can't seem to find any place that sells just plain old Leopard Boas. Either the site is in a different language and has no prices, or they are het for something or even at breeding size.

Does anyone know the current market price? I'm not looking to get one just now, but they really are my favorite boa and eventually I would love to have one.

Vin Russo works with Leopards. I'd like to get my hands on a pair myself one day, lol..... :gj:

I'm having a hard time finding a 'normal' leopard boa. Like listed above they're all hypo, or het albino or something else expensive sounding.

edit: I did find a normal '12 baby on fauna, so they are out there!

The "leopard" gene is a simple recessive and found in Sonoran desert boas. Most Sonorans carry the gene. It is a highly prized gene to work with and most leopards are going to be fairly expensive depending on intensity of pattern. And many breeders are trying to maintain the value of the gene by combining it with hypo or blood since it is now competing with other extreme pattern genes such as Aztecs and Raptors. You will likely only find "normal" leopards with breeders who are essentially purists and do not mix the Sonoran locality with Colombians to make morph combinations.

Vin Russo does both. Gus Rentfro may also have some pure Sonorans - http://www.riobravoreptiles.com/index.htm. You are more likely to find "normal" leopards if you call Vin or Gus. They aren't apt to post ads on kingsnake or fauna as they do most of their sales by word of mouth.

Good luck with your search! :gj:

a normal leopard retail price is about 500 bucks. You can find them on kingsnake . com and fauna for that range. some het leopards are pretty awesome and almost look visual nowadays!! I have leopard stuff as well and hopefully have some cooking as we speak :) bodacious boas has some good deals going on some 2012 leopard stuff, tsk also has some hets tho not visual. blumenboas always has some nice visuals too but they are always a bit on the higher brackethttp://i251.photobucket.com/albums/g...076538_o-1.jpg
