    Sexing questions
So to be honest I haven't looked that hard for an answer, though in all the threads I have seen so far no one really answers out right whether this is possible or not. My question is: I know preforming a scale count on corns is a fairly reliable way to sex them if you have the patience.. I am just curious if this is possible for BPs too.
I am ordering a probing kit with my next paycheck so I don't really plan on using this method as a way to sex my adult normal (rescue so I know nothing about "him") just curious.

I do not believe it is a accurate way. Most people just pop or probe. I prefer popping less possible damage compared to if you do not know how to properly probe.

Its not recommended to pop a large adult though because you risk damaging the snake (right?), so I feel that probing is my best bet. I was just curious if anyone had any information on scale counting.. thanks for your response though.

To my knowledge, probing is the least foolproof method while popping is great for babies. Scale counts aren't as accurate as many would like to believe and that includes with corns. There are always some that will go against it and when you're either trying to sell or look to breeding, you don't want your beautiful "girl" to try and attack the boy "she's" put in with. Quite frankly, probing is rather easy though I would recommend having someone else help you hold the snake when starting out. They don't exactly like it (not that I blame them!) and that is where the danger lies for injury to them. I will not pop an adult either bp or corn. The pressure needed can do damage though it could be used in a pinch say at a show where you wish to verify the sex of an animal.
