    Question about Feeding
This will probably sound stupid... but what do breeders do for food to feed all their BP's before they get sold? My friend has three snakes, which I know isn't a lot, but he was breeding mice to feed them. He had to get rid of all the mice because it was more expensive to care for them than it was to just buy three mice every week.

We buy rodents or raise our own.

First off, the only stupid question is the one you don't ask. Many larger scale breeders do breed their own rodents. They build racks to house them and buy bedding and food in bulk to save money. Another method is to just buy frozen in bulk quantity. Those who only have a few snakes sometime breed rodents too. All you have to have is a kill box and ample freezer space.

Most big breeders breed their own food. If you have less than 10 snakes, its not really worth breeding.

I'm not a breeder, yet. With 8 snakes and my current lack of space I order frozen feeders in bulk online. I keep them in a chest freezer.
