tips for getting g/f comfortable with snakes
Well im looking for advice. my g/f is very uncomfortable around my snake. I mean she wont even come in the bedroom when i got him out. we live in the country here in east texas and everyone around here always says "the only good snake is a dead snake". well she is 42 and im 25 we have been together for 5 years and knows i always wanted a snake, so didnt hesitate getting me one for christmas. but how do I get her used to him and to be comfortable around a snake. she is pretty set in her ways lol

Just don't force anything. As time passes and the snake hasnt eaten her, she will slowly become more comfortable with it.

It just takes time, when we got our first snake my (now) fiance wasn't even able to hold Monty Python on our drive home from NERD. After weeks she began touching it and now she loves that snake lol! She holds it everyday and is a major part of WTF Morphs.

Just give it time, unless it is a pathological terror, she will come around lol

no but seriously she is afraid of all snakes. her mother told her she was stupid for getting me one, and it was going to eat the grandbaby and possibly her. but i cant blame them. thats the way it goes around here. not stupidity just ignorance, or lack of knowledge.

Bribe her with something in order to touch it. Then build on it. It is crazy people are afraid of something so small and harmless. A small dog or cat can cause more damage then a ball python.
