    What is something cool...
To do with my new caramel? She wasn't in any of my future plans (I still have not bred for my first time yet) but I could not keep away from her.. lol but now I have this spur of the moment girl with no plans. & with the genetic wizard, all I have found so far is het caramels. Is there anything... visible I can make with her in the future? Thanks (:

Get a YB het caramel, but he has to have some intense flames. YB Caramels are sweet...The flames will be a bright orange.

Since Caramel is a recessive gene, you need a het caramel male or a visual caramel male to get more. Same thing as with pieds.

Before you spend too much money on a mate for her read up on caramel female fertility issues. I still don't have a good feel for how often people are able to get good eggs out of them (or maybe better put what percentage of eggs laid by all caramel females last year were good vs. slugs). If you still want to go for it a visual recessive male het for caramel would be awesome (hopefully produce double hets and caramels het for the other recessive). Also read up about kinking in homozygous caramels. Wish I could tell you how to avoid both issues but I think it was just dumb luck that I hatched three caramels last year and only one small tail kink in the bunch. I'm still working with the project and have high hopes we'll eventually all know how to work around these issues but everyone should have been warned before investing in caramel projects for many years now.
