I can't give advise about the nutritional content, but if it has any red dyes in the ingredient list, especially Red Dye 40, I wouldn't give it to them. There have been studies on the ill effects of dyes on rodents, and while there haven't been any studies that I know of looking at the effects of feeding said rodents to snakes, I would not risk the health of my snakes.

Here's a link to a few of the studies: http://www.feingold.org/Research/dye-studies.html

All the food is brown. Not multi colored.

There's a lot of debate about the subject, but I personally would not feed any kind of dog kibble to rodents (heck... I don't even feed commercial dog kibble to my dogs) if it can be avoided. The nutrition isn't right for rats, the ingredients are often of questionable quality (especially with cheaper dog foods), recalls are a concern. I personally just don't feel it is necessary if a good quality block or other diet without dog kibble can be provided.

Well I bought it BC the store was out of mazuri. I can't get mazuri until Wednesday.

Even if it's brown, it could still have dyes in it. They could have dyed it to make it brown, after all. The ingredient list will list any dyes used.

If you typically feed just Mazuri, and this is just to act as filler until you get more, it's probably ok. I just wouldn't use it long term as more than 1/4 of what you feed. A few bits here and there shouldn't hurt.

I don't see any dyes in the ingredients.
