    Snakes and Drums
I got a recording studio running in my basement in a room next to my snake room. I know that ball pythons are sensitive to vibrations. The drums are on a carpet with padding underneath and there are bass traps and acoustic treatment on the walls. You can only hear the drums from the other room and you cannot feel the vibrations. Should I move the rack to another section of the house?

    I wouldn't bother, shouldn't effect them.

I think Mike is right. Snakes to not hear through he air but rather from vibrations in the jaw. If there are few perceptible vibrations it is unlikely to bother them. The real answer will come from your snakes, for a few months keep records of feeding and use of the studio. If you start to see snakes not feeding well on days you have been in the studio it maybe a move is in order. If there is no obvious relationship then it likely matters not at all.

Snakes hunt seeing heat and smelling the prey along with "hearing" the vibrations like kitedemon described^. So i doubt itd effect them. I should setup a little experiment...

I've been playing drums in the studio for over a year now and the snakes have been down here for about 7 months. 3 are off feed because of eggs and only 1 non breeder female is off feed and has been off feed since I got her in December she is 1000 grams.

    That sounds like an answer...
