Scenting?

So every time that I put my male pastel in with my female spider one of them will end up excreting some lovely yellow fluid that smells like urates along with the occasional urate. This happens no matter how recently the animals have excreted any feces or urate. Is this one or the other of them scenting, is it them not getting along, just a regular passage of waste or something completely different?

I believe this is the female... scenting. She's trying to entice him. My girl's tub smells like a porta-potty every. single. time. :)

My breeding bins are often smeared with...evidence, sometimes sperm, sometimes urates, sometimes little specs of blood. It's normal, things get messy sometimes. What really sucks is when both of them let a big one loose and then slither through it. That's no fun!

Yeah...I have had the same situation. I just thought my BP's were kinky until I read about a few other people experiencing the same thing.

Sweetness! If I'm not getting that is it likely that one snake or the other isn't interested in what the other has to offer?

I have had them lock without all the grossness, but I've noticed that when she does 'scent' there is definite action, and fairly soon after. This has all transpired within the last, like month, though... (I'm new to breeding) so hopefully one of the seasoned breeders can chime in :)
