Tank Size & paper towel as "flooring" question
First off- our BP is about 29"
What size tank is she ok in? I know in the past I've read that I will think she is far too cramped before
its really time to upgrade her tank.
We also prefer the tank because its our only snake- actually my daughters
and she likes it "on display" :)

Secondly, we use to use that Green "carpet" as our "substrate" but recently switched to just paper towel, because of expense. Paper towel is ok, right? I thought I've read that on here. She has a moss hide - she uses as her "litter box" :) Also humidity is good. Just wanted to make sure the paper towel wasn't some how "drying" to their skin.

    Thanks!

Paper towels are just fine, if that gets to expensive you can always thrown down news paper.

If you are deadset on using tanks, a 20 long would be good for now, with a 40 breeder sufficient for an adult. However, (as rob suggested) animal plastics cages are the way to go! I would highly recommend going that route for an adult enclosure. The T8 is their cheapest cage, and with a divider, you could house 2 adult bps ;) or give one a nice spacious home for life. They are more expensive than a glass tank, but they are far easier to maintain temps and humidity, so better for both you and your snake!

It would also be helpful to post some pics of your setup and BP, as it will give us a better idea of what would be best (and we love pics!)

    Hope this helps,

Regarding the T-8, would 24"x24"x12" be large enough to house an adult bp, with the divider?

Are you asking if you can house two bps using the divider? Yes a lot of people on here have that set up. I'm actually waiting on delivery of mine now.

Oh. Just sounds a little cramped. I like the sounds of it, tho. Those and the T3's have been on sale, recently. Rob, do you plan on having flex watt on both sides?

Also, would 1 good t-stat be sufficient for both halves?

Yup I got mine with belly heat. I just called them up and told them exactly how I wanted mine.

Would anybody who has this divided set-up please be kind enough to post a pic.? I'm loving this idea (plus gives me an excuse to buy another snake ;))!
