Digital Thermometer / Hygromoter question
I have a question regarding digital therms / hygrom units. Whats the difference between using an accurite digital therm / hygrom combo unit with the probe vs an Xikar Digital therm / hygrometer unit? The probe for the accurite needs to be mounted on a side/back wall as does the Xikar unit. They both measure ambient air temps and humidity.
I have an AP T8 cage being shipped this week and already have a few accurite units but was just considering the Xikar unit for a neater installation (in my opinion).

Please let me know your thoughts as I am brand new to the game and this will be my first setup.
Thanks,
Tom

I use this one in my T8. The biggest compliant I seem to hear with the digital ones is their accuracy and their durability. This one can be easily calibrated and like some have mentioned, you don't have any batteries inside the enclosure that can leak.
This particular model has a magnet adhered to the back. I purchased some small magnets and then drilled a small enough hole through the divider I'm using with my T8 to mount the hydrometer this way.

Re: Digital Thermometer / Hygromoter question
Thats where I got the idea for this style therm combo. I have looked at both analog and digital styles but figured I would get some opinions before I decided.
Thank you for the input and the link.
