I was wondering, Once you start feeding your snake rabbits and hamsters.. Dont you ever feel sorry for the animal it self.. I was just at a petstore and they had those cute little dwarf ear rabbits  and i couldnt imagine seeing that get downed by a snake. Anybody ever had expierence with feeding there snakes rabbits, or had any guilt ?

i think rats are kinda cute... right now i don't own any species that i'll have to feed rabbits. my potentially largest species is my red tail boa. but occasionally i feel sorry for the rats for a second... then i remember how sweet it is to watch a snake eat.

Plus I don't think anyone is goin out and feeding any of the more "specialty" type rabbits. Just your run of the mill rabbits.

    Western Hognose Snake?
I try not to let it get to me. Some may think that whacking a rat to kill it for snake-food is cruel. Then the same person who says this, goes out and eats a cheeseburger. Ahem, hypocricy! :)
I do not like to cause suffering, though. I always kill the rat or mouse on the first whack. A mouse being killed by a cat goes through WAY more suffering than the ones I kill!
