beardie lays with one front leg back and palm up
Just started this a week ago. Just looking for comments. Only lays like this on the ground and looks good the rest of the time.
Can't seem to figure out how to get a picture on this post but it's the only one in my pictures. Was able to get it there. I apologize.

Mine does it all the time. If he ever tries walking that way is the only time you'd have a problem.
Do you have a red heat bulb or Something going on in there?

I myself and probably others on this board are against sand. It can cause compaction an potentially lead to death. Slate tile from lowes in my opinion is the best substrate.
I use a unfiltered spotlight with a dimmer switch to adjust my basking area temperature. The spotlight proves a real warm area for the beardie to bask as where the red heat bulb spreads it around the tank. He needs a basking area of at least 100 degrees, not the air temp but the temperature of the rays of light from the bulb your using at the spot where he lays under it.
