Alternative ways to heat a snake rack?

I know that most people use heat tape, but I'm worried about the potential dangers. What are some other ways people heat their tubs? I know of heat cable, but most of the responses I've heard suggest that it doesn't get to the right temps, or complaints about cold spots.

Usually heat tape is only dangerous when not installed and wired correctly. I've never had any issues with it.

If you're doing things correctly there's no more danger with heat tape than any other heat source.

Heat tape is actually a very reliable method of heating. It is important to have it set up correctly, including probe placement, and most important to always use a heat controller of some sort, preferably a thermostat.
