Help! My crestie has an underbite!

My female crestie has an underbite! I got her when she was a couple months. I give her repashy cgd with calcium without d3 every 2 nights ( once in a while every 3 nights ) I am worried that she has mbd? She has no other signs of mbd, just an underbite. Yes, I know it could be genetic, but I was wondering if it wold hurt her if I bred her? I also know that no one wants a crestie with an underbite to breed. Please help, I am worried about her. She eats a lot. Thanks!

We had someone on here recently that had a little crestie with a bent tail, one of the beginning symptoms of MBD. The current owner was feeding repashy CGD which led us to believe that the previous owner (pet shop) didn't feed them the right diet.

If its just a slight underbite, it is probably a small case of MBD. To my knowledge, there is no cure but if you feed a proper diet you can slow it down almost completely.

Would I ever breed a gecko that had MBD symptoms? Absolutely not. I would only breed animals with traits that I wish to pass down to its offspring. Big crests, colorful, no underbite.

I have a rescue gecko that was mistreated most of her life. She has a bald spot, missing most of her crest scales, dropped tail, and is just a sad looking grandma gecko. She was marked as "retired breeder". When I got her she had parasites and wouldn't eat. She also has a strange bite which leads me to believe she might have developed MBD with her previous owner. She actually laid a few eggs for me the first few months I had her, but they were under calcified and didn't make it. She is doing just fine now, but I would never breed her.

Well, if you are feeding the diet you say you are, then if it is MBD it shouldn't progress very fast.

Even if she doesn't have MBD, I personally wouldn't breed a crestie that has a strange bite like that. There are so many crappy looking cresties out there already. If you are going to breed, do it with some really quality animals and produce some beautiful animals.
