Proud Mama...
I've got a 2000g girl who's been off feed for about 5 weeks now. She's been locking with my lesser male since January and with a black pastel since October. She's building (cool side, palpable follicles, some lumping, and I think she's starting to glow) but she hasn't been interested in food. I went ahead and offered her a medium rat last night. Just as I was going to remove the rat (it had been with her about half an hour), I heard her strike and coil. She proceeded to eat the rat.

Crappy cell phone picture, I know! She even gave the rat a nose bleed!
Today I looked in her tub to check on her and she looks HUGE. If I had not fed her last night, I would have thought she was doing some serious building or ovulating. Perhaps that rat was a bit bigger than I thought it was....

Right where her body meets the water bowl is her usual size. If you look towards her tail end, you can see where she's super swollen. She looks so much more massive in person. It took me back quite a bit when I first opened up the tub.
For those experienced in glowing...care to give your opinion on her? The first image is freshly shed the day I got her. The second is freshly shed about a week ago. It also shows her usual girth. These were both taken on overcast days in the same room with natural light.

She's showing the signs, no doubt about that.
Patience is key, she'll do her thing when she's ready. And she'll drive you to distraction in the meantime.

No kidding! She sure is driving me nuts! I'm just glad she's finally showing the building signs. She's also a breeding machine with my male. I'm hoping that she'll pick up eating again. I know 5 weeks losing 0g is nothing, but boy did it drive me bonkers!

Good luck! I don't really have any input besides I'm in the same position you are! I have a big girl that has been showing lots of signs, and I am just so eager to have EGGS!! I lifted her out of her tub last night to change wet paper towels and GEEZ her belly was HUGE! She hasn't eaten in quite a while, so I'm not sure what stage I'm at or if it really even means anything... but I'm keeping my fingers crossed!! I'll keep 'em crossed for you too!
