    Weight issues?
    Ok since u all know i just got my first ball python that was never really feed ill post some pics too see if hes to skinny and how often to feed him so far ive done it once a week but stopped and decided to do it every two weeks or so..
    Ant suggestions is he to skinny still? How often do you suggest i feed he eats like a champ and takes med rats

    He's a little thin, but not too bad. I'd feed him maybe a small rat once a week until he thickens out. Then you can feed every two weeks if you want.

    Is it a male or a female.

    Male tend to be leaner (most of them) whereas female are more plump, so the overall look to be expected will definitely depend on that.

    If you want it to eat with more consistency I would suggest feeding smaller preys weekly compare to medium prey especially if it is a male.

    That's why I suggested a small rat weekly. If they are thin, you don't want them to gain -too- much weight too quickly. You start small and work your way up to something larger. But if you don't plan on breeding him, a small rat once a week will be plenty for him. If you're completley dead set on a medium rat, then feed biweekly.
