Driftwood...

We went into Buffalo last night and walked along the beach (yes, Buffalo has walkable beaches if you know where to look, lol.) I found this really neat piece of driftwood, all gnarly and twiggy. I took it home, and put it in the oven for a little while to kill off anything that might have lived in it. I let it cool off, and then I placed it in my BCI's cage, and he went to it right away and began tasting it and climbing all over it. He loves it!
If you live near a coastline (hopefully one that is not polluted with nuclear wastes, lol) I highly recommend getting some driftwood and putting it in with your BCI. Why go to a pet store and pay big bucks for a piece of corkboard that looks like driftwood when the real thing is so much easier and cooler looking?
