    Selective digestion?
Bps sure like to throw you a curve ball every now and then, huh?! My snake ate a f/t 20g mouse last night, the last of the mice I had for him. He has been on f/t weaned rats for a couple weeks. I found the left over mouse in the box o' rats we have for him. He POUNDS rats and mice. Doesn't matter to him. Excellent eater, to say the least!

Today I notice him in his cold hide. He hasn't moved all day. You're thinking temps, right? I did, too. Hot side is 90*, as it always is. Cold side is 80*, as it always is. I zapped what little bit of body he has showing through his hide entrance with my IR gun and he reads 80.4* Normally, he hangs out for longer in his hot hide after eating.

Anyone have any ideas? I'm not worried, just wondering. Thanks in advance!

Haha, the sneaky little bugger moved to his warm hide as I typed the above info. All's fine, just doing his thing, I guess... :)

Not a big deal. As long as he isn't freezing cold he should have no problems digesting at 80º

Mine never uses his hot hide. He only used it when he was in shed. He just chills out on the cool end.
